(BRONSON TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured in an SUV vs Semi accident Wednesday morning in Bronson Township.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the intersection of U.S. 12 and Holmes Road at 7:42 AM.
Investigators determined that 51 year old Greg Hardy of Bronson was driving his SUV west on U.S. 12 when he veered left and drove over the center line and into the eastbound lane, striking a semi. The driver of the semi, 55 year old Jeffery Skala of Three Oaks, told deputies he attempted to avoid the collision but was not able to.
Hardy was taken by Life Care Ambulance to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Skala was not injured in the accident.
Assisting at the scene were the Bronson Fire Department and the Michigan State Police along with the Branch County Road Commission.
