(BRONSON) – A Bronson man is being held on multiple charges following an investigation by the Branch County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Fred Blankenship says 41 year old Joseph Blowers has been arrested and charged with 6 counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct; 1 count of third degree criminal sexual conduct; and 1 count of domestic violence second offense notice.
Due to previous felony convictions in Branch and Hillsdale Counties, Blowers is also charged as a habitual offender.
Blankenship says the investigation revealed details too graphic to be shared.
Blowers is being held in the Branch County Jail with bond set at $100,000. He is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing on May 15 at 1:30 PM, and a preliminary examination on May 21 at 9 AM.
If he’s able to post bond, Blowers has been ordered not to have any contact with the victim, and to not have any unsupervised contact with any minor children.
