TALK TO A LAWYER DAY
Free Legal Consultations on Martin Luther King Jr. Day
On Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, the Northeast Indiana Volunteer Lawyer Program in conjunction with members of the Steuben County Bar Association invite you for a free legal consultation. We will be happy to discuss your legal issue, which may include any of the following topics:
* Bankruptcy
* Child support
* Complaints again a city
* Contract disputes
* Divorce
* Employment issues
* Healthcare
* Immigration
* Landlord-tenant issues
* Long-term care facilities
* Mental health treatment
* School law
* Small claims
* Social security
* Wills and estates
Consultations typically are 15-20 minutes. Many legal issues are complicated, but we'll do our best to point you in the right direction. We'll give suggestions about your next steps, which forms to complete, the right government agency to contact, resources, etc. You’ll leave with a general plan for solving your issue.
You likely won’t leave with your issue completely solved. Know that we can’t file forms on your behalf or maintain an ongoing relationship.
To get the most out of your free legal consultation, we recommend being prepared with your specific questions already written down. Volunteer attorneys work hard to answer every person’s questions, so the quicker you are able to ask your question, the more time your attorney will have to provide you with an answer.
Consultations are available either in-person or by telephone.
In-Person Consultations are available at Carnegie Public Library located at 322 S Wayne St, Angola, IN 46703 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Members of the Steuben County Bar Association will be there to assist you with your legal issues.
Telephone Consultations are available by calling (260) 407-0917 from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Members of the Area Bar Associations will be there to assist you with your legal issues.
