(INDIANAPOLIS) – A bill has been introduced by Indiana lawmakers to legalize marijuana in the Hoosier State.
House Bill 1630 would allow anyone aged 21 and older to purchase, possess and consume marijuana.
The bill would also establish a Cannabis Commission that would regulate fee structures and other regulations for the cultivation, processing, transportation and safety compliance licenses.
The bill is co-sponsored by two Republicans and two Democrats.
Michigan, Illinois and Ohio have fully legalized marijuana.
Attempts to pass legislation legalizing marijuana in the past have all failed.
