STURGIS, Mich. – A new principal has been hired for Bronson Jr/Sr. High School.
Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert issued a media release, stating that Mike Miller has been selected the new Principal of Bronson Jr/Sr. High School.
Miller has served Sturgis Public Schools since 2006. For eight years he was a teacher, three years as Assistant Principal and for the past seven years he was the Principal of Eastwood Elementary School.
Ebert says moving forward, Sturgis Public Schools anticipates there will be great interest in the Eastwood Principal position. While Miller’s shoes will be hard to fill, this interest gives Sturgis Public Schools the confidence that they will be able to quickly fill the position with an outstanding candidate.
Ebert says their hope is that a thorough and expedited process will give Eastwood’s new instructional leader ample time to work alongside Eastwood students, staff and families to ensure a strong start to the 2024-2025 school year.
Ebert says the position has already been posted. Phone screening interviews will take place May 6 through May 11 with applications due by May 10. First round interviews will be conducted on May 14, with second round interviews on May 16 and a recommendation brought to the Board of Education on May 20.
Miller takes over for Kristina Crabill, who was hired to be the Bronson Jr./Sr. High Principal, in August 2023. She announced her retirement in March.
