ANGOLA, Ind. (WLKI)- Trine University has again been recognized for its efforts to help community college students transfer and earn bachelor's degrees.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society included Trine on its 2026 Transfer Honor Roll, a national recognition program for four-year colleges and universities that create pathways and support systems for transfer students.

Phi Theta Kappa recognized 275 institutions this year. Schools were evaluated on student outcomes, credit mobility and degree applicability, financial support, recruitment and admissions practices, and campus engagement and support.

Kim Bennett, Trine's vice president for enrollment management, said the university continues to review its programs, policies and resources to make the transfer process more seamless and affordable.

Trine offers a $2,500 tuition scholarship for Phi Theta Kappa Scholars attending its Angola campus. The university also offers renewable academic scholarships for transfer students ranging from $14,000 to $24,000, depending on eligibility and academic progress.

The university's assistant director of transfer pathways and evaluations works with students to evaluate and transfer credits.

According to Phi Theta Kappa, the institutions recognized this year had an average bachelor's degree completion rate of 77 percent among transfer students. On average, 88 percent of transferred credits were applied toward a degree, and 76 percent of transfer students received merit-based financial aid.

More than 1,100 colleges and universities completed Phi Theta Kappa's institutional profile for consideration this year.

Trine says its career-focused programs and faculty support contribute to career placement for more than 99 percent of its graduates.
