DEKALB COUNTY – A Sturgis woman hit a deer in DeKalb County.
Cassie Reingardt, 25, of Sturgis, Mi was driving west on SR 205 in the 6000th block when a deer ran into the road. Reingardt hit the deer with the front of her vehicle. She was able to pull off to the side of the road.
Her vehicle was reported to be a total loss.
Reingardt complained of minor pain to her legs and neck. She was transported to a local hospital.
Assisting the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department at the scene were the Garrett Police Department, LaOtto Fire Department, Parkview EMS and Riverside towing.
