(DEKALB COUNTY) – Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a one vehicle crash sent the driver to the hospital.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 59 year old William Knapp of Hamilton was driving north in the 5900 block of State Road 1 just after 10 PM Tuesday when he went off the roadway for an unknown reason, striking a utility pole on the east side of the road.
Knapp was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center with head, neck and arm pain.
The Concord Fire Department and Indiana State Police assisted at the scene.
