(FLORENCE TOWNSHIP) – A two vehicle crash claimed the life of a LaGrange County man.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Chad Spence says his deputies were called to the sight of a two vehicle crash just before 4 PM Tuesday in Florence Township.
Investigators say that a 21 year old Howe man was driving east on Stears Road and failed to stop at the intersection of Lutz Road and struck a northbound pickup, driven by a 22 year old man.
The Howe man was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s not believed he was wearing a safety belt.
The driver of the pickup was not injured.
Assisting at the scene were the Constantine Fire Department, the White Pigeon Police Department, and Life Care Ambulance.
