(COLDWATER) – There’s been a change in ownership of an area hospital.
In a media release, Coldwater Regional Hospital is now owned by Insight Health System and is known as Insight Hospital And Medical Center Coldwater. The Flint based Insight officially acquired the Coldwater facility on December 1.
Dr. Jawad Shah, Founder and CEO of Insight Health System says they would like to thank ProMedica and the hospital leadership team for their partnership and professionalism as both sides work together to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care for patients, staff and providers through this process.
Shah says for over 85 years, Coldwater Regional Hospital has provided critical medical and wellness services to the people of Coldwater and surrounding communities, and he says the Insight team is excited to build upon that legacy with Insight’s unique brand of patient care that is second to none.
The 87 bed hospital has approximately 430 employees and a Trauma Level IV designation. The facility experienced over 100,000 outpatient visits and 19,000 emergency room visits in 2023. It also provided over 43,000 diagnostic imaging procedures, 48,000 rehabilitation treatments and 2,500 surgeries during that time.
