(KOSCIUSKO COUNTY) – An Indiana man was arrested following a joint investigation that lasted eight months.
Troopers and detectives with the Indiana State Police served an arrest warrant Tuesday at a residence at 6515 West County Road 550 North in Warsaw at 10:30 AM Tuesday. Detectives arrested 25 year old Tyler Harmon on 27 charges. That includes 5 counts of sexually motivated felony and 9 counts of third degree rape.
The charges are a result of a New Your State Police investigation that started in February in Warren County, New York after Harmon allegedly had contact with a 14 year old girl through the social media platforms Omegle and Snapchat. Harmon is alleged to have traveled to New York to meet the girl on three occasions over the course of a year to engage in sexual activity.
Harmon is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail, where he is waiting to be extradited to Warren County New York.
