(LAGRANGE) – There was a full agenda Monday for the LaGrange County Commissioner’s meeting.
A nuisance hearing was scheduled to take place. The Commission was notified that the nuisance at 3460 South and 1145 East had been abated. A dismiss order was approved and signed.
The Commissioners opened three bids that were received to do concrete work for the resurfacing of Delt Park Drive. Hostetler Concrete submitted a bid of $155,100; Shetler Construction had a bid of $104,988 and Michiana Builders, who had a bid of $100,045.
The bids will be taken under advisement. The award by the Commission usually goes to the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The decision will be announced during the Commission’s September 2 meeting.
In addition, the Commission was presented with a request for the County Highway Department to purchase two pieces of equipment. The first item is a 2025 Etnyre Distributor at a cost of $200,895 and the second is a 2025 Etnyre Chip Spreader, costing $384,800.
The Commission approved the purchase of both items, which will be bought from Southeastern Equipment Company.
