(COLDWATER) – Sentence has been given to a woman who was involved in a two state high speed chase.
Branch County Circuit Court online documents show that 37 year old Brienne Bicknell of Quincy was sentenced to 1 to 15 years, after she had entered a no contest plea to charges of fourth degree fleeing and eluding and fourth degree child abuse, in connection with a March incident.
The incident on March 15 began in Coldwater. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police were called to a house on Liberty Street to investigate unwanted individuals at the location. Bicknell and 41 year old Joseph Bicknell left the scene heading west.
The pursuit went onto I-69 with speeds going over 100 MPH. The vehicle entered Steuben County, where Sheriff’s Deputies used stop sticks to bring the vehicle to a halt.
Brienne Bicknell was arrested. Her 8 month old daughter was in the vehicle and was taken to Cameron Memorial Hospital to be examined.
Bicknell is still facing several charges in Steuben County, including Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Operating A Vehicle While Intoxicated. She is scheduled to go to trial on October 24.
