LAGRANGE – The Lakeland School Corporation recently created and filled a Public Relations and Marketing Specialist role.
The Corporation hired alumna Katie Levitz for the position and she has hit the ground running. She is now responsible for promoting school programs and events, highlighting corporation-wide wins, and managing public communications.
After graduating from Lakeland in 2017, Levitz continued her education at Purdue University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Marketing & Management while minoring in Communications. After graduating from Purdue, Levitz returned to LaGrange County and held various marketing and brand management positions within the recreational vehicle industry. With those experiences, she is prepared to embrace the voice of Lakeland School Corporation and showcase all of the powerful happenings that foster inspiration, excitement, and education for Laker Nation.
When asked about joining Lakeland’s team, Levitz says since her interview, she continues to think about the impact Lakeland students have on various communities, locally and across the country. Levitz says the enthusiasm at Lakeland is unmatched, something she has been seeking in my other positions. She says this is an important job, and one that she is proud to represent Lakeland for.
