COLDWATER - Four Coldwater teens were injured in a two-vehicle crash.
A release from the Coldwater Public Safety Department said at approximately 9:55 p.m. on Sunday, March 31 four teenagers aged between 16 and 17, were traveling westbound on W. Chicago St. near Northshore Drive.
The driver of their car attempted a U-turn but was struck by an 18-year-old Coldwater man in a SUV traveling behind the four teenagers.
The impact of being hit by the SUV sent the car containing the four teenagers into a utility pole.
One of the rear-seat passengers of the car was flown to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The remaining three occupants of the car were transported to Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital where they were treated and later released.
The driver of the SUV truck declined treatment at the scene.
The accident report states the roads were wet at the time of the accident due to rain, but the road was illuminated by streetlights.
The Coldwater City Police were assisted by the Michigan State Police of the Marshall Post, the Coldwater Fire Department, LifeCare Ambulance and the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities.
