LAGRANGE – 2023 was a busy year for the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation.
During a recent LaGrange County Council meeting, EDC Executive Director Sherri Johnston gave an update on what happened last year. She said one of the big highlights for the year was money that came in to be used for a housing project.
By having housing available in LaGrange County, Johnston says it will keep people here.
In addition, Johnston says she made 72 visits to businesses around the County to talk to them about how their businesses are doing and what they need.
For 2024, Johnston says the EDC will continue to work on the housing situation, along with having some more “Lunch And Learn” events. She says she really wants to tap into the agriculture and manufacturing businesses to help people understand about the opportunities they present for LaGrange County.
