FREMONT, IN - One person had to be extricated by emergency crews from a vehicle following a crash on the Indiana Toll Road Friday morning.
According to the Fremont Fire Department, firefighters were alerted at 6:14 AM concerning a motor vehicle accident. First reports indicated there were injuries, which included at least one person entrapped in a vehicle.
Upon arrival, first units on the scene found one accident victim out of the vehicle walking around, and another victim stuck inside the wreckage.
Firefighters and emergency teams worked hand and hand to quickly extricate the patient.
The individuals were transported to a local hospital by the Steuben County EMS.
Assisting the Fremont Fire Fepartment at the scene was Steuben County EMS, the Steuben County Sheriffs Office, the Indiana State Police, and staff of the Indiana Toll Road.
