Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Angola City Police Department Offering R.A.D. Program

(Angola) - The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Angola City Police Department are offering realistic, physical, self-defense training for females 12 and older. R.A.D. systems stands for Rape Aggression Defense, and is run by a network of certified instructors.

The R.A.D. course includes one night of lecture, two nights of practicing techniques, and the last night reviews scenarios/simulations someone may experience. The instructors of R.A.D believe that self-defense should be easy to learn, retain, and use when confronted.

The program will be held Tuesday December 28th, Wednesday December 29th, and Thursday December 30th from 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. The program will be held at Steuben County Sheriff’s Office on October 28th, and at Hendry Park Elementary School Gymnasium in Angola on the 29th and 30th. The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is located at 206 E. Gale Street in Angola. Hendry Park Elementary School is located at 805 S Washington St in Angola.

The program is free of charge. A twenty-dollar deposit will be collected at the time of registration, and returned to all participants that complete all 3 nights of the program.
