The Angola Common Council approved deductions to two local businesses for purchases of new equipment and real estate improvements on Monday night.
The Angola Common Council passed resolutions for Feddema Industries Incorporated and Vestil Manufacturing Corporation. Feddema will be changing its focus doing business as “Special Cutting Tools” going from a tooling company to manufacturing. The resolution approves a deduction from assessed valuation for the installation of new $400,000 piece of manufacturing equipment. The approval was the same for Vestil who will install new manufacturing, research, logistical distribution, information technology and development equipment. The company will also receive deductions on the redevelopment or rehabilitation of real estate improvements. A 20,000 plus square foot addition will take place at the 2999 North Wayne Street location which will house new equipment and new jobs.
Council also accepted a bid from Brown Equipment for the purchase of a Vacuum Leaf Collector for $70,665 for the Street Department.
