(BRONSON) – It will be a busy weekend in Bronson as the 55th Bronson Polish Festival gets underway today.

Polish Festival Committee Chairperson Candy Cox says this is a great way for people to get to see Polish heritage and culture, whether you’re Polish or not. LINKC.

Polish food is being served around Bronson today.

At 6:30 PM the Opening Ceremonies and Kick Off will take place in the St. Mary’s Church Gym. There will be a bake sale along with the Barbie Busia Contest, and the naming of the Royal Court, which Cox says is a big honor. LINKD.

Cox says the people named to the Royal Court is kept a secret until the Opening Ceremonies, which makes it a real surprise for the winners and the community.

Also going on tonight will be Bingo starting at 7 PM under the downtown Pavilion, and the Parking Lot Party with the Lovey Howl Band behind Smitty’s Pizza.
