(ELKHART) – An Elkhart man is charged with felony sexual misconduct and molesting charges due to a relationship he had with a then 13 year old girl.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says that 33 year old Tyler Collins has been arrested following an investigation and is being held in the Elkhart County Jail with bond set at $750,000.
The alleged victim contacted authorities and told them that the incidents started in April 2012 when she was 13 and Collins was 20, and they lasted for over two years. Probable cause documents indicate that Collins was the girl’s bowling coach at both Concord High School and at a local bowling alley.
Police interviewed Collins last week, and he admitted to them that he had a sexual relationship with the girl.
