(WOLCOTTVILLE) – Authorities have identified the woman and three children found dead in a Wolcottville house.
The Noble County Coroner says the woman is 32 year old Rebecca Hughes, and the three children are 8 year old Evelyn Newell, 6 year old Allison Newell and 5 year old Amelia Newell.
On Tuesday at 11:20 AM, the Wolcottville Police Department was sent to conduct a welfare check at a residence in the 100 block of South Main Street. While at the location, officers found a Hughes and the three children dead.
The Indiana State Police were contacted and sent detectives and crime scene investigators to the residence. Assisting were the Noble County Sheriff’s Office and the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Coroner's report is still waiting for toxicology information. The investigation is continuing.
