Prairie Heights Defeats Westview in Wrestling

Prairie Heights defeated Westview 74-6 on Thursday night.
PH opened the match with 2 JV wins. Collin Keeslar pinned Chandler Pushman at 132 in 1:54. At 138, Allan Steele won by decision over Kyle Fennel, 7-0.
In the Varsity match, Westview gave up 7 forfeits giving PH 42 points up front. Winning by FF for PH were: Brandon Baas 106, Blake Hoyer 126, Zane Rowdon 132, Jed Levitz 170, Coye Blodgett 182, Codey Shafer 195, and Troy Deetz 220.
At 132, Zeke Rowdon tech falled Lucas Miller 18-3 early in the second period, after being up 12-3 after the first period. Ryan Rasler followed that up at 138, with a first period fall in 1:02, over Bailey Jones. At 152, Isiah Levitz and Marcus Yoder were scoreless after the first period, as neither could gain control. The score was tied at 2 after the second period, but Levitz scored on a reversal from bottom and and added near fall twice giving him an 8-2 win.
The 285 lb. match featured Jon Messer against Nate Burr. After a takedown and an escape by each in the first period, Burr scored on a takedown and near fall in the second period. The outsized Messer later got pinned in the third period at the 3:37 mark.
Gage Myers, at 106, built a 6-2 lead over Keegan Kolheim before pinning him in the second period at 2:36. In the final match of the night, Rickie Bailer scored on a quick takedown and pinned Joey Mullet in 1:23.
PH is now 27-2 on the season, with a 9-0 record in the NECC.
