Snowy Roads Lead to Four Injured in DeKalb County Crash

(DEKALB COUNTY) - Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of State Road 1 and State Road 8 in DeKalb County. According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 2:25 p.m. when a northbound Chevrolet Cobalt slid on snow-covered pavement and failed to stop at a stop sign. As the car entered the intersection, it was struck on the passenger side by a westbound Hummer H3. Both vehicles left the roadway and came to rest in a field at the northwest corner of the intersection. The driver of the Cobalt and the driver of the Hummer, along with two passengers including a 3-year-old child, suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening. Butler Fire Department, Parkview EMS, Central Communications, and two towing companies assisted at the scene.
