(LEXINGTON, KY) - The parents of a Kentucky State University student who was killed in a campus shooting earlier this month have been arrested in Indiana.

Police say Chardnae Cleveland and De'Jon Darrell Fox were charged Tuesday with felony intimidation in Vanderburgh County. Court records indicate both have since been released from custody on $1,500 bond.

According to police records, the charges stem from alleged online threats made earlier this month toward Jacob Bard, who had previously been charged in the deadly shooting at Kentucky State University.

A probable cause affidavit references a social media post attributed to Fox that stated, in part, "you will feel the same hurt I feel." Police also cited a post allegedly made by Cleveland referencing a possible trip to Evansville.

Investigators say the intimidation charges were filed one day after the couple's son, De'Jon Fox Jr., was killed in the shooting. Bard was later cleared of charges after a grand jury declined to indict him on December 23.

The investigation remains ongoing.
