(BRYAN) - A 73-year-old Bryan man was killed Sunday night after being struck by a semi on U.S. 6 in Williams County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Michael North.
The crash happened shortly after 10:45 p.m. in Center Township. Investigators report North was on foot near the highway when he was hit by an eastbound semi driven by 46-year-old Jason Yoder of Hicksville.
North was pronounced dead at the scene. Yoder was not injured.
Investigators have not determined whether North was walking on the shoulder or in a travel lane when he was struck.
U.S. 6 remained closed until after midnight.
The crash remains under investigation.
