(FREMONT) - The American spirit is flying high in Fremont, where a flag design now greets drivers on State Road 827 at the outskirts of town.
The design, located on the east side of the road, was the idea of Fremont Street Superintendent Jeff Grimm.
Town employees Brent Henderson, Travis Smoker and Zach VanDusen put the design in place Thursday, just before the holiday weekend.
Local resident Ron Book created the star template used for the stars.
The design should also offer a patriotic view from above for planes or drones flying over Fremont during the Fourth of July holiday.
Fremont Town Manager Tony Shook, along with the Fremont Town Council, hopes the flag design is enjoyed by all as they enter the Town of Fremont.
