(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Northern Lights could be visible across parts of Indiana Thursday night and possibly again Friday night.

The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a G3 geomagnetic storm watch, creating the potential for aurora activity across portions of the state.

Forecasters say the best chances for viewing the Northern Lights will be in northern Indiana, although visibility farther south remains possible depending on storm conditions.

No specific viewing times have been announced. Aurora activity can develop and change quickly based on space weather conditions.

Additional updates are expected as forecasters continue monitoring the storm.
