(KENDALLVILLE) - The Dekko Foundation is investing big in youth development across northeast Indiana, announcing more than $487,000 in new grants and pledges to nine local organizations.
Among the recipients:
-- The Angola Performing Arts Academy, awarded $8,000 to upgrade music and sound equipment for student-led community performances.
-- Central Noble Schools in Albion, receiving $15,000 for after-school tutoring support.
-- The Indiana Alliance of YMCAs, landing a major $130,000 grant to expand its Youth & Government program.
-- And Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana in Fort Wayne, getting $80,000 to boost financial literacy education.
