(COLDWATER) - A Coldwater teenager has died after suffering a gunshot wound overnight.
Police say the 17-year-old boy was found unresponsive inside a home Thursday morning after his mother called 9-1-1. Emergency crews responded, including Coldwater Police, Fire, and LifeCare Ambulance.
Authorities confirm the teen was a student at Coldwater High School. Coldwater Community Schools were notified, and grief counselors are available for students and staff at the high school and Legg Middle School. Therapy dogs are also being brought in at the high school.
An autopsy is scheduled for May 1.
