(UNION LAKE) - Cleanup work continues at Union Lake following last month's tornado, with crews removing debris from the water.
The Branch County Sheriff's Office Dive Team, Marine Patrol, and Drone Team led an April 19 effort, working with the Southeast Michigan Dive Group and multiple agencies.
Officials say about 130 yards of debris have now been cleared from the lake.
Agencies involved included Montgomery Fire, the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Police and Public Works, along with departments from Steuben County and Fremont, Indiana.
Branch County Emergency Management also assisted in the operation.
