(Butler/Waterloo/Kendallville/Ligonier) - The Canada Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train is on the move again -- and it's rolling through our area this weekend.

Since 1999, the brightly lit train has traveled from New Brunswick across Canada and the northern United States, raising money and collecting food donations for local food banks at every official stop. This year, the train won't be stopping in Indiana, but it will pass through northern communities overnight Saturday as it travels between Windsor, Ontario, and suburban Chicago. And every year, crowds gather at local stations just to catch a glimpse.

If you want to see it roll by, here are the expected pass-by times:

  • Butler: 12:50 a.m.
  • Waterloo: 1:08 a.m.
  • Kendallville: 1:27 a.m.
  • Ligonier: 1:45 a.m.

Over 26 years, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $26 million and collected over 5.4 million pounds of food for North American food banks.

More details are available on the CPKC Holiday Train website.
