(COLDWATER) - A longtime downtown Coldwater restaurant has closed after more than seven decades in business.
The Goodie Shop served its final meals Sunday at its location on North Monroe Street.
Owner Veronica Carter said she decided to sell the family diner to spend more time with family. Carter took over the business from her father in 2018.
A buyer from Fort Wayne is expected to finalize the purchase in the coming weeks. The new owner plans to continue operating the location as a restaurant and has acquired the Goodie Shop name and recipes.
