(COLDWATER) - Downtown Coldwater is hosting its annual Love Local event today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., bringing food, shopping and winter entertainment to the city's business district.
Organized by the Coldwater Main Street Program, the event features the popular Best of Bowls Soup and Chili Cook-Off. Local restaurants and organizations have partnered with downtown merchants to provide free samples as visitors move from business to business and vote for their favorites.
In addition to the cook-off, the event includes entertainment and early Valentine's Day shopping opportunities. Many downtown businesses are offering special sales and promotions throughout the afternoon.
The Love Local event is designed to highlight Coldwater's downtown businesses while giving residents and families a festive way to enjoy the winter season and support local merchants.
