 
            
(LAGRANGE) – The Fremont girls golf team won the NECC Tournament at Heron Creek Golf Club with a team score of 377. Angola was second (393), with Garrett third (401); Churubusco fourth (405); Fairfield fifth (412), West Noble was sixth (441), Central Noble seventh (448), Prairie Heights was eighth (472) and host Lakeland only had 2 girls to play and didn’t qualify for a team score. Fremont’s Emery Laughlin led the Lady Eagles with a round of 82. Angola’s Bri Metcalf shot a 98. Garrett was led by Sydney Suelzer with an 89. Lilyana Johnson carded a 111 for Prairie Heights, while Kabella Watkins had a 91 for Lakeland. Named First Team All NECC are Fremont’s Emery Laughlin, Katie Ridenour, Lily Coler and Valorie Geller; Kabella Watkins of Lakeland, Angola’s Sarah Smith, Bri Metcalf, Kiara Hohenberger and River Spreuer: along with Sydney Suelzer and Abbi Werling of Garrett, Fairfield’s Bella Blosser and Mallory McGowen; Lily Lindsey of West Noble; and Jillian Wright and Delaney Ott of Churubusco.
