(ELKHART) – Authorities are investigating two shootings that happened at an Elkhart McDonald’s Restaurant.
The Elkhart Police Department says the shootings happened around 10:05 PM Sunday. The first victim, a 16 year old girl, told Police she was a passenger in a vehicle that was in the drive-thru lane of the McDonald’s at 130 North Main Street when she was struck by gunfire. The driver of the vehicle took her to Elkhart General Hospital where she received treatment for non life threatening injuries.
Officers later become aware that a second shooting victim had walked into Goshen Hospital. The second individual, a 15 year old boy, says he was getting out of a vehicle in the McDonald’s drive thru and was hit by gunfire. He was treated for non life threatening injuries as well.
So far, no arrests have been made regarding these shootings. If anyone has any information on these incidents, they are asked to call the Elkhart Police Department at 574-295-7070.
