ANGOLA — Long time police officer and investigator Marty McNeal is looking to retires as he steps away from his role with Steuben County Prosecutor’s office.
McNeal will end is service as the prosecutor’s investigator in April.
He started his career in the Fremont Town Marshal’s Office. He has served the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office starting in 1976, and has been the only investigator to ever serve in the Steuben County Prosecutor’s Office since the position was first created by Prosecutor Don Shively in 1990.
McNeal has served under four prosecutors.
Steuben Sheriff’s Deputy Pat Reardon has been named as the new prosecutor’s investigator. He will start when McNeal begins his retirement in April.
