(AUBURN) - The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum in Auburn is getting a boost for one of its newest history projects. The museum has received a three-thousand-dollar Historic Preservation Education Grant to support a photography exhibit connecting Auburn's automotive past with its historic homes.

The grant, awarded by Indiana Humanities and Indiana Landmarks, will help fund the museum's project called "A Walk Through History: Rephotographing Auburn's Historic Homes and Automotive History." Using photos from its archives, the ACD Museum recreated 15 historic images showing classic cars parked in front of Auburn homes. Vehicles from the museum's collection were positioned at the same locations and photographed again, allowing visitors to see the past and present side by side. Museum officials say the exhibit offers a unique look at how Auburn's architecture and automotive heritage have evolved together. The project runs from August of 2025 through August of 2026, with the exhibition opening later this summer.
