AUBURN -- Former DeKalb and Garrett teacher and coach Brody Dixon has changed course once again -- now telling the court he wants to move forward with his guilty pleas in a series of child sex-crime cases.

Dixon had previously pleaded guilty to seven Level 5 felonies, including child solicitation, vicarious sexual gratification, possession of child pornography, and child exploitation. His plea deal calls for 28 years, with 11 years executed and the rest suspended, plus probation.

Late last month, Dixon tried to withdraw those pleas and asked for a new judge, delaying his Dec. 4 sentencing. The judge denied the request for a new judge and took his plea-withdrawal motion under advisement.

But this week, Dixon filed a new motion saying he now wants to withdraw his attempt to back out of the plea agreement and proceed directly to sentencing.

A new sentencing date has not yet been announced.
