COLDWATER (WLKI)- There will be new leadership for the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce in 2027.
In a social media post, Chamber Executive Director Lori Hunt-Bobilya announced that she is retiring at the end of the year.
Hunt-Bobilya says when she accepted this position seven years ago, she could never have imagined how deeply she would come to care about the organization, its members and the community. She says this role has never felt like just a job. It has been about people, relationships and helping local businesses succeed.
Hunt-Bobilya says she is incredibly proud of what they have been able to accomplish together. She says the Chamber grew their Ambassador program from six members to nearly 30; doubled the Board; created new events and strengthened may of their longtime traditions.
She says they also welcomed new businesses; celebrated countless ribbon cuttings and brought people together through their Awards Dinner, scarecrow contest , Golf Classic, Mini Golf Scramble, Jingle Mingle, Chamber Chat, Coffee Hours and Business After Hours.
Hunt-Bobilya says what she will remember the most are the friendships, the laughter, the people who stepped forward to help and the business owners who trusted her to share their stories.
