ANGOLA, Ind. (WLKI) - First Federal Savings Bank of Angola has announced a leadership transition in its operations department as longtime executive Amy E. Ross has planned to retired after a distinguished 39-year career with the bank.
Ross will retire at the end of August after joining First Federal in May 1987 as a teller. Throughout her nearly four decades with the organization, she advanced through a variety of leadership roles, serving as Assistant Vice President and Vice President of Audit and Compliance from 1994 to 2010 before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations and Information Technology, a position she has held since 2010.
A lifelong Steuben County resident, Ross is a graduate of Angola High School and earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration from Ivy Tech Community College.
Succeeding Ross is Rainie R. Miller, who has been named Vice President of Operations. In her new role, Miller will oversee the bank's tellers, customer service representatives, and accounting and proof operations staff.
Miller brings 23 years of banking experience to the position. During her career, she has served in leadership roles including Vice President of Workplace Banking, Assistant Vice President and Banking Center Manager, Director of Retail Banking, and Branch Manager at financial institutions throughout northeast Indiana.
She earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and is expected to complete her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration later this summer.
Miller has also been recognized for her leadership in the banking industry, receiving the Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Influential Women Award in 2023. She was also a finalist for the Indiana Bankers Association Women in Banking Woman of the Year Award in both 2022 and 2023.
Founded in 1933, First Federal Savings Bank of Angola is the oldest financial institution headquartered in Steuben County.
