(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana residents can submit art and photos for a chance to have their work featured on Indiana Department of Natural Resources hard card licenses for hunting, fishing and trapping.

Hoosiers of all ages can submit up to two nature and wildlife-themed entries from July 1 through July 31.

This year's categories are deer, wild turkey, fish, other wildlife and Indiana landscapes. All two-dimensional art mediums are eligible, including photography, painting, drawing and graphic design. Art generated by artificial intelligence is not eligible.

Five entries will be selected to be printed on licenses next year. The artist's name will be credited on the cards.

The new hard card designs will be available in early 2027. The cards are an optional license upgrade for customers. They cost $10, are weather resistant, list up to seven licenses on the back and are all customers need to carry while in the field.

Contest guidelines are available through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
