(HAMMOND) - A statewide Amber Alert issued Thursday for a missing 6-month-old girl from northwest Indiana has been canceled after the child was found safe.
Police were searching for Devaeyah Lucas Bell, who was last seen early Thursday morning.
Authorities believed the infant may have been taken by 31-year-old Deandry Sabbs.
South Bend television station WSBT reported Devaeyah was located at a hotel in Schaumburg, Illinois. The station also reported Sabbs was taken into custody.
No additional information was immediately released.
