Former Trine coach Brooks Miller named new Ferris hoops coach

(BIG RAPIDS) - Former Trine University men's basketball coach Brooks Miller has been hired as the 15th head coach for the Ferris State University men's team. Miller, a two-time Division III National Coach of the Year led the Thunder program for 14 years and coached them to the 2024 Division III National Championship. Miller has a diverse background, having worked with top coaches including Bobby Knight at Texas Tech. In the 2025-2026 season, Miller served as an assistant coach at Central Michigan University.
