(FORT WAYNE) - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana says this year's "Bowl for Kids' Sake" fundraiser raised more than $270,000, topping the organization's $250,000 goal.
The annual fundraiser was held across the region during February and March, bringing together teams who bowled after collecting at least $500 in donations.
The organization says the final total was driven by both community participation and local partnerships.
Officials say the money will directly support the group's mission of building one-to-one mentoring relationships that help young people reach their potential.
Big Brothers Big Sisters says the annual bowling fundraiser remains one of its biggest community support events of the year.
