(LAGRANGE) - A LaGrange man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he pointed a loaded handgun at two people and fired a shot inside his home.

According to The News Sun, 57-year-old Mark Gibson was arrested following an incident early Saturday evening at a residence in the 100 block of South Mountain Street. LaGrange police were called to the home after reports of a disturbance involving a firearm.

Court records state Gibson allegedly waved a loaded .22-caliber revolver while yelling at others in the house, then pointed the gun at the floor and fired one round. Officers documented a bullet hole in the dining room floor. Several people were inside the home at the time, but no injuries were reported.

Gibson is charged with four Level 5 felonies, including intimidation with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness, along with two Level 6 felony counts for pointing a firearm. He also faces misdemeanor charges related to alleged possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, and less than one gram of methamphetamine.

Gibson was arraigned Tuesday in LaGrange Circuit Court and remained in the LaGrange County Jail. A pretrial conference is scheduled for March 2.
