(WATERLOO) - No serious injuries were reported following a rollover crash Tuesday morning along State Road 427 near Waterloo. The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred shortly after 8 a.m. on S.R. 427 just south of County Road 10.
Authorities reported that a 23-year-old man from Churubusco was traveling northeast when he missed a curve, left the roadway and rolled his SUV onto the driver's side. The vehicle came to rest on the northwest side of the road.
The driver told first responders he heard a popping sound moments before losing control of the vehicle.
After the SUV was uprighted, emergency crews discovered the rear driver's side tire was deflated.
The driver was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Deputies said no serious injuries were reported.
Snowy and icy road conditions, speed, and the deflated tire are believed to have contributed to the crash.
