STURGIS – The Sturgis boys and girls cross country teams have both qualified for the MHSAA Regional, after hosting their Pre-Regional meet. The Sturgis girls finished first overall with Three Rivers coming in second, followed by Berrien Springs, Niles, Edwardsburg, Coldwater and Hillsdale. Coldwater's Legend Szafranski was first overall. Meah Yunder of Sturgis was second while Anezka Pradna of Three Rivers was third. Sturgis; Lexani Alejo, Tess Scheske and Fernanda Garcia Luna all had season best runs. In the boys race, Berrien Springs took first place. Three Rivers was second, followed by Coldwater, Sturgis fourth, then Hillsdale, Edwardsburg and Niles. Cole Parker of Dowagiac was first overall. Tremaine Brown of Sturgis was second while John Aerts of Coldwater was fifth and Tyler Norton was seventh.
