KENDALLVILLE – East Noble’s Hayden Jones was named to the Northeast 8 Conference basketball all-conference squad. Teammate Chris Hood was honorable mention.

ALBION – The Central Noble Athletic Department has CANCELLED the Winter Sports Awards Programs that were set to take place March 17th and March 19th. Athletes will receive their awards packets through the Athletic Department when we return to school. The First Responders v. Teachers Charity Basketball Game scheduled for March 18th has been POSTPONED to a future date.

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana boys basketball tournament was suspended by the IHSAA on Friday. Regional games will not be played today. The only local squad still alive was Northridge, which was scheduled to play at Michigan City.

The girls gymnastics state finals will continue as scheduled at Muncie with no spectators allowed.

Spring sports regular season contests are conducted at the discretion of member schools. With some schools implementing extended breaks, the rule requiring practice attendance to participate in a contest will still be enforced and not waived. A decision on the minimum number of contests to become eligible for state tournaments will be made later. At this time IHSAA says it plans staging all spring sport tournament series as scheduled. That is subject to change.
