The Northeast Corner Conference has postponed the Jr NECC girls basketball tournament after the opening rounds.

The postponement is indefinite and a decision on when or if it will resume will be made by the administration of all conference schools. The league also canceled the JR NECC wrestling tournament.

IHSAA Commissioner Bobby Cox announced Thursday that the
remaining games in the IHSAA boys basketball state tournament will continue as scheduled but with limited spectators in attendance as Indiana seeks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

For the remaining games,each participating school will be allotted only 75 complimentary tickets aside from the 12 dressed players and to include only essential personnel, coaches, administrative staff and immediate family of players.

The girls gymnastics state finals this Saturday will be held without
spectators.

Persons holding tournament tickets should seek a refund from the point
of purchase.

The Michigan HS Athletic Association announced Thursday that winter
tournaments are suspended immediately and indefinitely. The Ice Hockey, Girls Gymnastics and Lower Peninsula Boys Swimming & Diving Finals had been scheduled for this weekend, while the Girls & Boys Basketball Tournaments are midway through earlier rounds of their playoff
progressions.

MHSAA Executive Director Mark Uyl said “This is a suspension until we
have a better handle on the situation. The health and welfare of everyone involved is our number one priority.”
